611 / How we work

Start with the work.
Find the right structure.

A useful collaboration begins with a shared understanding of the opportunity and the people involved.

01

Listen

Tell us what you are working on, what is going well, and what needs to change. We want to understand your goals before discussing a role for 611 Tropico.

02

Understand the business

Look at customers, products, margins, people, and day-to-day operations. For a new venture, start with the customer problem, the proposed offer, and a credible plan for making it work.

03

Define the contribution

Be specific about what each person brings: operating work, commercial experience, relationships, capabilities, assets, or capital where applicable. We should be able to explain why working together makes sense.

04

Consider the structure

A commercial agreement, a joint venture, a minority position, shared ownership, or an acquisition may be appropriate. No single structure is the starting assumption.

05

Set clear expectations

Agree on responsibilities, decision-making, economics, timing, and how to handle changes. Put the arrangement in writing before making commitments.

06

Do the work

Keep communication direct and review progress against what was agreed. The relationship should be useful to the business, with responsibilities people can realistically fulfill.
